The Lagos Ikoyi Diamond Lions Club marked the International Day for Persons with Disabilities on 16th December 2025 in collaboration with The Theseabilities Foundation, reaffirming its commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunities for persons living with disabilities.

The event focused on raising awareness about the rights, abilities, and contributions of persons with disabilities, while also promoting a more inclusive society free from discrimination and barriers. Through advocacy, engagement, and community support, the celebration highlighted the importance of accessibility, dignity, and social integration.

Participants were encouraged to see disability not as a limitation but as diversity in ability, aligning with global efforts to ensure that persons with disabilities are fully included in social, economic, and community life. The partnership between Lagos Ikoyi Diamond Lions Club and The Theseabilities Foundation emphasized collective responsibility in creating sustainable impact and fostering hope, confidence, and independence for persons with disabilities.

The event served as a strong reminder that inclusion is not an act of charity, but a fundamental human right.
